RIVERA DEL DUERO ROA ROBLE

  • Vineyard: 30 years old vineyard
  • Climate: Cold, very continental with a considerable hydric deficit.
  • Ageing: 4 months in French and American Oak barrels.
  • Winemaking: Grapes are harvested manually arriving whole and perfect at the winery. The grapes are then put into stainless steel deposits where they are left to macerate for 24 to 36 hours at a temperature no higher than 50ºF. This is followed by fermentation during 4 to 6 days at a temperature no higher than 82ºF. After this, part of the wine is separated from the rest and placed in casks made of French Oak to continue with the malolactic fermentation. The rest of the wine is allowed to continue this fermentation in the stainless steel deposits.
  • Tasting Notes: Attractive red cherry color with a brownish red border. Fragrant and complex scent with hints of spices and black, ripe fruits. Its taste is round, well balanced, noble tannin, smooth and very fruity.
